Filming Guidelines

Safe Street Filming

Filming on the street must at all times be conducted with care and consideration to members of the public, without causing undue inconvenience or potential danger to pedestrians or road-users.

Please check the links which outline various street filming issues that must be borne in mind when planning your shoot.

More specifically, pavements and streets should not be obstructed and production crew, cast and equipment, including vehicles, should give way to normal public access. Where this is not possible, and an agreement has been reached with Reel Film Locations and the Police, alternative access must be made for normal access and egress by the public and other users under Health and Safety guidelines.

Any production personnel working on the public highway must wear high visibility (standard EN471) clothing unless appearing in front of the camera or risk prosecution under the New Roads and Streetworks Act (1991).
